Dzenita Hadzic

When Dzenita Hadzic immigrant from war-torn Bosnia in 1995, she had trouble imagining living in a house where people wore shoes inside. Needless to say, it was a difficult cultural experience, but Dzenita managed to adapt beautifully. So well, in fact, that she is now in the top 15% of her high school class and is focusing on a career in the medical field so she can help people overcome things like the dislocated hip she suffered for the first 10 months of her life.
