The College Bound application for the 2009-2010 academic year is now available! Please see below for instructions on how to apply and the application. APPLICATIONS ARE DUE BY FEBRUARY 22, 2009 (supplementary materials can arrive after the deadline, but must be postmarked by February 23, 2009).
Students: Please read the "FAQ - Am I Eligible?" before accessing the application to ensure you are eligible to apply.
Instructions:
NEW: Scholarship Chicago is making an effort to simplify its application process for students by allowing digital submission of the application and the essay! All applications must be submitted digitally.
Also, before you send in your completed application, please make sure you fill out the application checklist to ensure you have included all necessary materials.

The College Bound Scholarship application has three basic parts:
- The College Bound Scholarship Application is available below and is meant to be filled out digitally on a computer. It should be downloaded from this site, filled out at your home or school, saved and EMAILED as an attachment to: scholar.applications@chicagoscholars.org. The email should have your name and the word "Application" clearly written in the subject line and in the body of the text. We will not be accepting mailed applications
- TYPED essays may consist of 300-750 words but may not exceed one and one-half pages, double-spaced. INCLUDE your name on each page of the essay.
- E-MAIL completed essays to: scholar.applications@chicagoscholars.org.
- Please save all essays as MSWord (97-2003 or 2007) documents. The filename should reflect the first letter of your name, last name, school and the year you will graduate from college. For example, cjameslanetech2014.doc.
- Please save all photo attachments as JPG documents. The filename should reflect the first letter of your name, last name, school and the year you will graduate from college. For example, cjameslanetech2014.jpg.
- Write an essay about what you value most in life. Select or create a picture that best illustrates your essay. Your picture may be UP TO 8 ½'' x 11" but not any larger. All photos become the property of Scholarship Chicago and will not be returned.
- We are seeking scholars who are commited to our program. If you are selected to participate in Scholarship Chicago, please indicate which areas you believe you would receive the maximum value.

3. How will you display your leadership skills and contribute to the success of Scholarship Chicago?
- Scholarship Chicago requires the supplementary materials listed below. They should be mailed together in one envelope, with the applicant's name clearly marked on it, to Scholarship Chicago, 55 E Jackson, Suite 1010, Chicago, IL 60604.
