Carol Sharp is a Program Associate at Scholarship Chicago. Carol began working with us on a temporary basis to provide office support, and soon joined the organization’s full-time staff as office manager. Within a short time, she had earned a promotion to her current position of Program Associate, and now supports all of Scholarship Chicago’s programs, maintains financial and other records, and assists in the planning and execution of events.

Carol plays an integral role in facilitating both the internal and external communications of Scholarship Chicago, and often serves as liaison to students, mentors, partners, and other interested parties. For Carol, the most rewarding part of her work is getting to know the students, helping them reach their academic goals, and hearing from them occasionally when they call in just to say hello and report on their progress.

In addition to working full-time at Scholarship Chicago, Carol is a student at American Intercontinental University online and a member of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society.
