Favorite Class/Activity: I loved my Latin American History class. My professor made lectures interesting and exciting. We had the opportunity to go to several Latino art and dance exhibitions in Milwaukee throughout the semester.
Most memorable college experience to date: Being honored with the Sophomore of the Year Award last April
Favorite way to relax: Running to Lake Michigan
Favorite book: "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coehlo
My dream profession: Working for my district in Chicago as a State Representative of Illinois
Future plans: I am undecided whether or not I would like to pursue law school or graduate school after completing my undergrad studies. My ultimate goal is to work for civil rights in a non-profit organization in my community.
Key insight to college freshmen: Do not be afraid to take leadership rolse around campus. It is a great way to network with faculty, professors, and your peers.
My hero: Mi Mama is my source of inspiration, motivation and support. She is the true definition of what it means to be a strong woman.
