Hilary Scott


Hilary Bishop Scott has been active in the non-profit sector since 2000. As a development officer at the Shedd Aquarium and, later, at The University of Chicago, Ms. Scott focused largely on the strategy and cultivation of major gifts.

Since 2004, Ms. Scott has been working towards her Masters Degree at The University of Chicago, School of Social Service Administration (SSA), with a focus on social service administration and policy. Her specific research interests include school reform, urban adolescents, and the transition to college. Through her work at SSA, Ms. Scott became acquainted with Scholarship Chicago and she joined the Associate Board in early 2006.

Scott holds a B.A. in religious studies from Connecticut College and expects to graduate with her M.A. from The University of Chicago in June of 2006. Ms. Scott and her husband, Sean, live in Chicago with their Golden Retriever, Matilda.
