Aaron Sharabaika works in the investment banking division at Hovde Financial, Inc. Mr. Sharabaika is responsible for evaluating the financial and strategic options of financial institutions, performing financial analyses and valuations of banks and thrifts, and assessing the impact of national and regional trends on the financial services industry.
In 2002, David Morrison (VP/Treasurer of Scholarship Chicago) presented the Scholarship Chicago program (formerly College Bound) and Mr. Sharabaika became a mentor shortly thereafter. In 2005, Mr. Sharabaika was honored as Scholarship Chicago’s Mentor of the Year. He joined the Associate Board in early 2006 and was named Treasurer/Secretary of the Associate Board for 2007.
Mr. Sharabaika earned a MS degree in Accountancy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a BBA degree in Finance from Loyola University Chicago. Mr. Sharabaika is an Advisory Board Member to the Women’s Micro-Finance Education Network, a NGO in ‘Special Consultative Status’ to the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations, and a volunteer of the City of Chicago’s Tax Assistance Program.
