Associate Board

Overview

Scholarship Chicago's Associate Board is a committed group of volunteers that provide general support and awareness for Scholarship Chicago as well as participate in scholar programming at all levels.  All of our members are young professional with bright futures who both want to participate actively in the community and gain experience working in the non-profit board
structure.

The responsibilities of the Associate Board are widespread, but the board's main focus is on programming and cultivation.

On the programming end, Associate Board members are directly involved with our students in a variety of ways.  Some serve as mentors, others lead workshops in their area of expertise, and nearly everyone has a hand in the scholar selection process.  They also are responsible for making recommendations to improve existing programs and provide ideas for new programs. On the cultivation end, the Associate Board holds an annual event in order to grow awareness for Scholarship Chicago, recruit new board members, have fun, and refocus everyone's energy on the number one goal - the students.

We are always recruiting new members and are excited to hear from anyone who is interested in learning more about our mission.  If you would like to know more about the Associate Board, or simply would like more information about Scholarship Chicago, please contact Carol Sharp at csharp@chicagoscholars.org or use the "Contact Us" tab on the website.
