Ms. Wilson is a member of the Windy City Chapter of The Links, Inc., board member of The Institute of Women Today, member of The Chicago Wellesley College Club, and of The University of Chicago Laboratory Schools Alumni Association. She also co-authored The BAP Handbook published in 2001.

Recently, Ms. Wilson opened her own legal staffing firm called LegalQuest. Prior to that, she served as Executive Director of Special Counsel, Inc. There she handled the management and administration of a million dollar start-up office; consulted with clients on litigation cost containment and staffing issues; managed the human resources for temporary and in-house staff; and interviewed and placed temporary and direct hire candidates. Special Counsel is the local office of a national company that provides law firms and corporate law departments with attorneys, paralegals and support staff on a temporary and direct hire basis.
