Colby Morgan

My Name:  Colby Morgan

High School:  Northside  College Prep

Favorite Class/Activity:  Honors Psychology because the subject matter is so interesting.  I’m intrigued by learning about the things that make people do the strange things they do.

Favorite Teacher/Counselor:   Ms. Nicole Flores, my math teacher, because she doesn’t rest until every concept is understood by her students and I admire that.

My favorite way to relax is:  At home with my younger siblings, they love to cuddle.

My favorite book is:  The Savage Inequalities by Jonathan Kozol which discusses stratification within public school systems across the country.

The College I am attending is:  Undecided

My dream profession is:  Becoming a Criminal Psychiatrist who works on high profile cases.

Biggest concern about college:  Learning to tame my procrastination tendencies.

When I go to college I most look forward to:  Being in a new environment, where all of the people surrounding me have a common goal.  It’s going to be great.

The piece of advice that I would give to a high school freshman about college is:  “If you fail to plan you can plan to fail”.  Begin investigating schools early and try to figure out which institution is best for you.

My hero is:   My mother because she is extremely motivated and has supported me with every decision that I have made.  She is always behind me 100%.
